Mrs. Denna April Raiford, age 54 of Rockmart, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Mrs. Raiford was born on September 16, 1968 in Carrollton, daughter of Brenda Proctor Thomas and the late Dennis Thomas.
She worked as a paraprofessional for Paulding County Schools and later as a Deputy Clerk at the Paulding County Courthouse. She was a devoted Nana and loved her family, especially her granddaughter.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grady & Louise Proctor; and aunt, Joan Eaves.
Survivors include: her husband, Lee Raiford; son, Mason Lee Raiford, daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Jonathan Sutton; mother, Brenda Thomas; granddaughter, Evie Lea Sutton and another granddaughter expected in June; Anna (Erik) Rieffel and Amy Eaves; and her lifelong special friends, Becky Meredith and Julie Nunn.
Funeral services for Mrs. Raiford will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Beulahland Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Ricky Bradley, Erik Rieffel, Jeremy Sims, Samuel Rieffel, David Rieffel, Jonah Rieffel, Trevor Meredith, and Jonathan Sutton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Beulahland Baptist Church prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour.
