Report: Fire destroys Striker Road residence this evening

A structure fire late this afternoon destroyed a residence on Striker Road, per Polk County Volunteer Fire officials report tonight.

The department was the only to respond to the call that came in around 5:44 p.m. and sent firefighters out to the house.

Per information provided, no injuries or fatalities have been reported.

The cause is unknown, and the house was deemed a total loss.
