Those who missed out on the fun of the annual Cedar Valley Arts Festival in 2020 will get a chance to makeup for the event being called off last year with it back better than ever.
The 56th Annual Cedar Valley Arts Festival is just around the corner starting on April 24 and continuing through April 25. The annual event sponsored and organized by the Cedartown Junior Service League raises money for their various ways of helping local youth and families.
Admission to the festival is free. Fundraising for the event is provided by sponsors and the cost of vendors to setup tables in the park.
Food vendors will be on hand as well serving tasty treats during the event.
Vendors are still being sought for the upcoming event, and those who are interested have until April 9 to sign up for the 2021 event. Those interested can find out more information about signing up as a vendor here, along with the cost.
Festival hours this year are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The annual Cedar Valley Arts Festival 5k/10k will kick off the event at 8 a.m. on April 24. Registration is still open for the race and those interested can visit the Cedar Valley Arts Fest website for more information.
A dog show is also being held on Sunday, April 25 at 2 p.m. in the park for the festival as well, with prizes awarded along with bragging rights for the year of who might have the cutest pooch around.
There’s a $5 entry fee to participate, and you have to register by 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in person to participate.
Started in 1954 by the Downtown Merchant Association of Cedartown, the Cedar Valley Arts Festival became a project of the Junior Service League by 1970. The festival is hosted annually in Peek Park in the heart of downtown Cedartown.
Cedartown Junior Service League is a non-profit organization that supports children and families of Polk County. They support and endorse many worthwhile organizations in the county through our fundraising and this festival.
