Mr. William (Bill) Clarence Duvall

Mr. William (Bill) Clarence Duvall, age 96, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday February 12, 2023. He was born on October 21, 1926, the only son of the late Clarence William and Loa Veda Duvall.

Bill attended First Baptist Church of Cedartown.

Bill was born on Weston, West Virginia and graduated from Weston High School of the age 15 and went on to West Virginia University where he graduated in 1949 with a degree in electrical engineering after completing his military service in the United States Navy.

Bill and Jean married in 1946 and lived at WVU until graduation where he went to work for Goodyear Tire in Akron, Ohio. He was transferred in 1969 to Rockmart, Georgia where he was VP of Engineered Fabrics (fuel cells and Macy’s Day Balloons).

He retired in 1988 after 38 years of service. After retirement Bill and Jean traveled in their motor home across the US for several years. He loved camping, fishing, golfing and spending time with his beloved family.

Bill is survived by his four children, daughters, Sandi (Pepe) and Denise Carter (Larry); sons, William Kevin Duvall (Suzan) and Kenneth Trent Duvall (Sharon); grandchildren, Matthew William (Beth), Mark Trent (Leah), Dillon Jesse Carter, William Brett Duvall (Le), Timothy Blake Duvall (Caitlin),Audra Elaina Yates (Mike), Laura Grace Duvall, and Abigail Kensley Duvall; great-grandchildren, Eli, Henry, Matthew, Mila, Emery, Liam, and Miles.

Mr. Duvall is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Regina (Jean) Titus Duvall; and granddaughter, Regina Nicole Carter.

The funeral service for Mr. William Clarence Duvall will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will be held in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Weston, West Virginia.

The family of Mr. Duvall will receive family and friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
