Mr. Willard R. Williams, Sr., age 72, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Willard was born in Dallas, GA, on September 10, 1951, a son of the late Claude E. (Edgar) Williams and Dollie Savannah Miller Williams.
He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was a member of Morning View Baptist Church. Willard had worked with the City of Rockmart in the Public Works Department for over 21 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, riding his ATV and working in his garden.
In addition to his parents, Willard was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Diane Williams, a sister, Dianne King, and a brother, Wayne Williams.
Willard is survived by two sons, Ronnie Williams, and Adam (Danielle) Williams; daughter, Lisa (Phil) Pledger; two grandchildren, Mason Williams and Kate Williams; three sisters, Elaine (Ray) Williams, Marsha (Keith) Wright, and Joan Browning (Eric Tress); two brothers, Cecil (Patsy) Williams, and Wendell (Susan) Williams. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Willard will be held on Friday afternoon, September 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey and Rev. Brent Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
Willard’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday evening, September 5, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will include Chris Williams, Travis Wright, Joey Williams, Michael Williams, Jeff Williams, and Lane Williams.
