The chill in the air is returning after the turkey settles on everyone’s stomachs on Thursday.
A taste of what’s to come is moving in overnight as the National Weather Service calls for frost overnight as temperatures dip down into the 30s heading into midweek, are expected to warm back up Wednesday and then take a nose dive heading into the weekend.
Don’t expect warm temps for upcoming holiday festivities as the meteorologists in Peachtree City are calling for highs to just barely get above the 50s today to 61, dip overnight down to 34, and then warm back up with sunshine on Wednesday to 67.
Things will take a turn starting on Wednesday night as the chances of rain increase from 30 to 80% overnight, and heading into Thanksgiving day chances of showers are expected with a high of 63 for the holiday locally.
Overnight temps then dip down to the freezing point again, before taking a more dramatic turn over the weekend. Black Friday’s high is expected to hit 50, but the thermometer is then dipping down to 25 on Friday night, and will remain in the upper 40s through the weekend down into the 20s and teens overnight through Sunday.

Expect to head back to work beginning December with a high of 42 coming up on Monday and a low of 20, and much the same through the rest of the first week of December until a slight warming and an increase in temps the first weekend of the final month of 2024.
No winter weather is expected due to the dip in temperatures, but in other spots for those traveling for the holiday: beware of blizzards. Rain is impacting the west coast and east coast, with the potential for mixed precipitation in the Northeast on Wednesday. Snow is expected in the upper midwest and plains states, and the higher elevations in the Rocky Mountains.
These storms could impact air travel during the busy week of Thanksgiving travel, so plan accordingly for delays.
