Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, but rain is returning soon and colder temps to follow per the latest National Weather Service predictions.

Peachtree City meteorologists predict the forecast up to 50 today, and down to 29 overnight as sunshine dominates the forecast through the day, and into Friday and Saturday.

The high is up to 51 on Friday and the low down to 23, and up to 44 on Saturday and down to 24 overnight heading into a weekend where the chances of rain are increasing.

Sunday’s forecast has a 60% chance of rain at the moment, and additional wet weather on Monday with highs in the 40s and lows down into the 30s. So long and short of it? Don’t expect any snow despite what others might be saying on social media.

Good news? Sunshine returns right after the two-day rain chances. The forecast going into next week is so far featuring mostly sunny skies, but colder temps are coming. Tuesday’s high will be 40 next week, and next Wednesday? 39.

Looking further ahead, predictions temps are expected to remain in the 30s as a high and could get down into the teens next week.

So bundle up and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. It’s Georgia weather, after all.
