The potential for thunderstorms is coming up this afternoon as temperatures rise, but don’t expect this last breath of warm weather to stick around. Cooler temps are back on the way, per the National Weather Service forecast.
Meteorologists in Peachtree City call for a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, but expect those to start moving into the area this afternoon as sunshine dominates the morning.
The thermometer is going up to 72 on the day, and then will drop back down to 40 overnight as the front containing thunderstorms moves through and behind it cold air is expected to rush into the area.
Look for rain chances overnight at 40% as the front moves through, but sunshine returns for the rest of the week and into the weekend ahead of the holiday.
Thursday’s mostly sunny skies comes with a high of 58, and down to 34 overnight. Expect sunshine and windy conditions on Friday with a high of 53, and a low down to 28 overnight.
Weekend temps are in the upper 40s and down into the mid 20s, and expect much of the same heading into Christmas week with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s, and down into the 20s overnight as well.
