After a final weekend of wet weather, sunshine is going to dominate the forecast per the National Weather Service forecast in Peachtree City.

Temperatures today are up in the 60s, and clouds should be clearing out to leave sunshine through the coming days. However, the mild weather won’t last as the thermometer is going to take a turn downward.

The New Years Eve forecast is calling for temps up into the 60s again, but then turn downward into the 30s overnight for the final evening of the year.

The opening of 2025 will start off with sunshine in the forecast for New Years Day, and a high in the low 50s and down into the mid 20s overnight. Expect much of the same for Thursday as well, with a high in the low 50s and down to the upper 20s overnight.

Clear skies and cool will remain in place through the rest of the opening days of 2025, with temps dropping down by the weekend to the 40s during the day and down into the 20s overnight. There is a slight chance of rain by the end of the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 50 expected and partly sunny skies.

Winter’s worst impact is coming following the New Year.

Current forecast for next week have a major decrease in high temps coming up, starting off in the mid-40s for the first full week of the year. Then will continue dropping into the 30s, and even down into the 20s for high temps by the end of the week and heading into the second weekend of 2025.
