The Cedartown Performing Arts Center’s stage has been empty of performers for a while now, but the lights went on and the speakers cranked up for a country hitmaker to bring some music back to town. 

Tracy Byrd, renown for such hits as “10 Rounds with Jose Cuervo,” “Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous” and “I’m from the Country,” was joined by opener Ray Scott as they get back on the road following a year without many concerts to speak of around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 



It wasn’t a packed house on Thursday, but Byrd still had fans on their feet when he brought out a lot of his well-known hits for all to enjoy during the first major event at the CPAC since the pandemic began in 2020.

They will be holding additional shows in the future, and are also getting ready for 2021 theater summer camps that have been announced and are happening in early June and are bringing the fun of the Disney film Moana to the CPAC stage on June 18.
