Mrs. Susanne Pilgrim of Monroe, GA formally of Cedartown, GA, passed away on August 7, 2022.
Mrs. Pilgrim was born August 19, 1944, to the late John and N.C. Holland Rutledge. She was a graduate of Rockmart High School in 1963. On November 3, 1963, she married Thomas Pilgrim, they moved to Rome in 1966 and lived there for 35 years as Thomas was employed by Georgia Kraft.
Susanna was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Cedartown, where she served as an elder. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas; daughter-in-law Lynn Clemons Pilgrim and her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Pilgrim is survived by her daughter Lisa Pilgrim Bruce (Chuck); son Todd Pilgrim; grandchildren Madison Bruce, Connor Bruce, Jordan Pilgrim (Caroline), Drew Pilgrim (Emily), Zach Pilgrim (Amelia), Hayden Pilgrim (Katie), Jacob Pilgrim and Caleb Pilgrim.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her church family and friends.
The family will have a visitation Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a memorial graveside service will be held at the Polk Memory Gardens Saturday, August 20, 2022, with Rev. Marty Smith officiating.
