Mrs. Sherry Powell Tracy, age 73 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
She was born on August 8, 1950 in Cedartown, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charles Van Powell, Sr. and Frances Moncrief Powell.
Mrs. Tracy is survived by her; daughters, Leah Brandon and Kara Lawrence (Steven); son, Brad Tracy; sisters, Cathy Smith (Aaron) and Kay Ayer (Richard); brother, Van Powell (Jeannene); grandchild, Drake Brandon (Ashley); great-grandchild, Dean Brandon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Tracy is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James Morgan Tracy, Jr.
As a lifelong member of The Cedartown Church of Christ, the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Tracy will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning at the church with minister Ed Lee and Mr. Bill Lundy officiating. Mrs. Tracy will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with minister Ernie Maiwald officiating.
The family of Mrs. Tracy will receive family and friends on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from six o’clock in the evening until the eight o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Brad Tracy, Drake Brandon, Jake Ayer, Hunter Ayer, Ricky Mathis and Greg Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Tracy, Kenneth Tracy, Steven Lawrence, Aaron Smith and Richard Ayer.
