Roy Joseph Blankenship, age 63, of Cedartown passed away Saturday February 19, 2022.
Roy was born on September 4, 1958 in Cedartown, GA., to the late Roy Thomas Blankenship and Fannie Mae Broadaway.
Roy worked at Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and was a small business owner. He loved to hunt, loved his heritage, and loved his family and was well respected. Roy had many friends.
Survivors include his wife: Donna Thomas Blankenship; children: John (Kristen) Blankenship, James (Tabitha) Blankenship, Derek (Erika) Collum, Corey (Shelley) Collum, Natasha (Kevin) Cummings, and Allison (Josh) Eaves; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday February 23, 2022 at Wimberly Hill Baptist Church, 200 Wimberly Hill Loop, Cedartown, GA 30125, with James Blankenship and Randy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Lees Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Cedartown GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen: John Blankenship, Noah Rosenthal, Camden Blankenship, Skyler Estes, Peyton Davenport, Bryce Blankenship, Luke Collum, and Joseph Earwood.
