Rockmart High School announced last week the STAR Student and Teacher for 2022, both deserving candidates for the systemwide award, being given out in the days to come at a special luncheon for both RHS and CHS Star Student and Teacher representatives.

This year, the school chose Victor Minucci to represent #JacketNation in running for the PSD STAR Student for 2022.

Minucci was chosen after he earned the highest SAT score in the graduating class, along with additional program requirements.

The STAR Student choses a teacher to join them annually, and this year Minucci honored his AP Calculus teacher Robert Staples to be the RHS STAR Teacher for 2022.

Here’s the original posting from the RHS Facebook Page with the announcement:

The STAR Program is designed to recognize high school seniors who have the highest SAT score in their graduating class and meet all the other program requirements. The STAR Student chooses a STAR Teacher to recognize the educator who has had the biggest influence on his academic career. We are pleased to announce our 2022 STAR Student, Victor Minucci. Victor has chosen his AP Calculus teacher, Mr. Robert Staples, as his STAR Teacher. Congratulations to both of these very deserving recipients!

Minucci and his family along with Staples and officials from Rockmart High School join their counterparts for the upcoming STAR Luncheon. Check back for more info on that and the CHS STAR Student and Teacher as it becomes available.
