Those who want to learn how to keep themselves safe and have a option that is open weekdays and local, there’s a place in Rockmart to turn.
Last weekend, the new Combat Self Defense Academy celebrated their ribbon cutting with the Polk County Chamber of Commerce during a ceremony at their Rockmart location.
The Chamber on Feb. 5 celebrated with owners at 222 Sycamore Grove Court in Rockmart, where they are open on weekdays and available on weekends by appointment.

Their hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
