Ricky Leonard Bagley

A Cedartown man remained in the Polk County Jail on misdemeanor charges after he refused to cooperate with officers after he was found hiding under a blanket with another woman, according to Polk County Police reports.

Ricky Leonard Bagley, 38, listed as homeless in Cedartown, was jailed on Friday following an incident around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, when he was found behind a warehouse on East Ware Street underneath a blanket.

Bagley was being served an aggravated battery warrant from a previous incident, and when they arrived they found him under a blanket with a woman who wasn’t named in the report. Police immediately recognized Bagley, and ordered her to get up and turn himself over.

When he refused, police went through the gate and ordered again several times for Bagley to come out, and he still refused.

Police then tried to force him out, got ahold of his hands during a struggle and eventually took him to the Polk County Jail, where he remained on a $2,000 bond.

Bagley was charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers and battery, both misdemeanors.

The woman involved was not arrested, per the report.
