A Kennesaw woman was jailed after she was accused of threatening another, then attempted to attack the man while officers were present, turned to struggling with police while being arrested according to reports from Polk County Police.
Officers arrested Eleni Ware, 47, of a Kennesaw address on Tuesday evening, December 10 after she returned to a Stringer Road residence in the Rockmart area intoxicated and “was threatening to cause harm to him by getting in his face and yelling while raising her hands,” per the report. She had initially come two days prior to help care for a bed-ridden individual as well.
Following the initial altercation, the victim went outside to call 911 and was locked out of the home.
Per the report, PCPD showed up on Tuesday evening attempting to calm down the situation but found Ware on the front porch, stumbling and nearly falling down before being ordered to sit down.
When police tried to get Ware a ride home from a friend who was 20 minutes away, the victim told officers he could find someone to help. Ware then began to cuss and went to attack the victim in front of officers, who then intervened, grabbed her jacket to pull her away until she fell onto a railing for the stairs of the porch.
Ware then began to struggle with officers while being arrested, finally able to get her into a pair of handcuffs after she tried to avoid being taken into custody.
PCPD charged Ware with a count of obstruction of law enforcement officers and simple assault under the family violence act.
Ware was later released on a $2,000 bond.
