

A couple on Saturday were both charged with simple battery under the family violence act after a late-evening altercation turned physical, according to Polk County Police reports.
PCPD arrested Elizabeth Padge Oliver, 45, and William David Oliver, 64, both of a Cedartown address, on a misdemeanor charge for each after they found both parties with injuries from an alleged fight between the pair on Saturday night, February 15, 2025.
Per the report, both claimed the other had been the aggressor over a family-related argument that ended when both parties claimed the other began to throw punches.
Police found injuries on each, and took both into custody without incident after they were cleared by EMS personnel, and charged with the misdemeanors.
Bond had not yet been set in either’s case as of this posting.
