Want to see some of your artwork featured at an upcoming gallery exhibit later this spring? Then get your entry ready now for “Floral Expressions” starting in May at the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center gallery at the city complex on North Piedmont Avenue.
The RCAC is accepting entries now for the flower-based exhibit, with submissions due by April 10. Those who are accepted into the show will be notified by April 24.
The exhibit will open on May 6 and run through June 24. A reception is planned for Saturday, May 15 from 4 to 6 p.m., with a People’s Choice Awards being presented for first, second and third place ribbons.
Adults 18 and over can submit up to 3 pieces of artwork for the exhibit in a variety of formats, but for now please send in a .jpg image of the artwork for consideration to rcac@rockmart-ga.gov.
There’s no entry fee for participating, but a membership fee is appreciated to help cover the RCAC’s gallery show costs.
If any work is listed for sale in the upcoming gallery show, the RCAC will take a 20% commission. The gallery does handle all sales, and buyers will be able to take possession following the close of the exhibit in late June.

The Rockmart Art Gallery also has an upcoming showing of student art from Rockmart High School’s department running from March 18 through April 29. A reception is planned for artists and parents on April 24.
The Juried Art Show is just wrapping up the opening exhibit of the year, with Thursday the final day to go see work from local artists.
