A woman who was leaving a convenience store and was pulled over at Boaz Ministry in a traffic stop was arrested after she was found with drugs in her possession, according to reports.
April Jean Clayton, 43, of a Rockmart address, a passenger in a traffic stop after the vehicle left a West Elm Street convenience store late on Thursday, October 10. The officer followed the car after it was seen crossing the center lines on the roadway several times.
During the stop officers got consent to search and Clayton admitted that she had methamphetamine inside her bag.
Police found the drugs and two glass smoking pipes.
She was taken into custody without incident, and the driver was let go after completing field sobriety tests.
PCPD charged Clayton with a felony for possession of methamphetamine and later released on a $5,000 bond.
