Mrs. Nancy Barber, age 76, of Dallas, GA, formerly of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023.
Nancy was born in Rome, GA, on May 11, 1946, daughter of the late Parker Roberson and Bessie Deems Roberson.
She had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart and was a member of Euharlee Baptist Church. She was a caregiver and worked in home health for several years.
Nancy enjoyed playing Bingo, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Barber, a son, Todd Barber, and two sisters, Annette Bishop, and Faye Duren.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Billy) Bishop of Bremen, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Hutcheson of Rome, Jacob Barber of Arizona, Alicia Gaston of Cedartown, GA, and Jamie Gaston of Dublin, GA. Five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Nancy will be Friday afternoon January 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Stevie Waddell officiating. Interment will follow in Aragon Cemetery.
Nancy’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
Pallbearers will include Billy Bishop, Brandon Hutcheson, Jaylon McClure, Jace Gaston, and Jamie Gaston.
