Ms. Betty Joyce Smith, age 81, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born on July 11, 1940 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Mimmes Lee Stevens Smith.
Ms. Smith is survived by her children, Hughdon Smith (Bonnie), Freda Rangel, Pamela Campbell (Wade), and Richard Smith; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Ray Smith (Caroline), Melvin Smith (Joan), and Mike Smith (Shelia) and sisters, Shirley Dowdy, and Edna Stephens.
Ms. Smith is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy Cheatwood; sons, George Smith, Jr., Robert Smith, and Edward Smith; grandson, Richard Chad Smith; brothers, George Smith, Jr., Robert Smith, and Edward Smith and sisters, Catherine Smith and Bonnie Laminack.
A graveside service for Ms. Betty Joyce Smith will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 at one o’clock in the afternoon at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brady West officiating.
The family of Ms. Smith will receive family and friends on Monday, September 6, 2021 from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the graveside hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Donnie Scott Smith, David Lee Smith, Jose Arias, Andy Campbell, Trent Mitchell, Chad Campbell, Rodney Smith, and Gary Smith.
