Mrs. Vera Wright Odom, age 84, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. She was born on March 28, 1936, in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late Ed Wright and Nellie Williams Wright.
Mrs. Odom was a member of Youngs Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Arrow Shirt Factory; she touched many lives with her seamstress repair and alterations skills. Mrs. Odom received her GED at the age of 64.
Mrs. Odom is survived by her children, Renee Nation (Robert), Drewan Erwin (Carl), Stanley Odom (Linda), Mark Odom; raised one granddaughter, Latisha Odom (Buck); sisters, Gail Fincher and Boots Hamby; brother, Ronnie Wright; grandchildren, Lee Nation, Marie Odom, Cole Odom, Elizabeth Erwin, Kim Evans, and Cindy Odom and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Odom is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Lamar Odom; brothers, Bud Wright and Glen Wright and sisters, Pat Parris, Mary Ann Wills, Snook White and Peggy Jones.
In accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines a private service will be held for the family of Mrs. Vera Wright Odom.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Lane Fortune, Logan Street, Alex Marangakis, Dawson Timms, Gage Ferguson, and Buck Rhodes.
