Mrs. Dorothy Fern Wells, age 87, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at her residence.
She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on September 10, 1934 a daughter of the late Clifford Jesse Goolsby and the late Fern Charlene Curless Goolsby.
Mrs. Wells was a hard worker, loved children. loved music, played the piano and gave piano lessons. She played the piano in several churches throughout the years and was still her church’s piano player when she turned 87.
She loved life and was always ready for an adventure. Her spirit was always ready even as her body became weak.
Mrs. Wells was a member of the Full Gospel Church of New Beginnings in Rockmart.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charter Wells, by a daughter, Virginia Vargo and a brother Charles Goolsby.
Survivors include a daughter, Christine Lynn, a son Stephen Dunn and a daughter, Julie Hightower; a brother, Richard Goolsby and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastors Tim Patnode and Chris Hightower officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 5th. from 1:00 pm until the service hour at 3:00 pm.
