Mr. Ronnie Louis Sanford, age 70, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on October 16, 1950 in Cartersville, GA, to his late parents: Martin Ray Sanford and Dorothy Ann Powell Sanford.
Mr. Sanford spent most of his life in Rockmart and was Baptist by faith. He was retired from Ford Motors with over 21 years of service. After his retirement from Ford, he worked for several tractor companies.
In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Sanford was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious granddaughter, Mattie Elizabeth Grace Sanford.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Jean Sanford of Rockmart, GA, son, Todd Sanford and his wife, Lana of Yorkville, GA, daughters: Regina Kidd and her husband, Terrell of Chickamauga, GA, April Carter and her partner, Miquel Bonilla of MS, son, Forrest Sanford and his wife, Gloria of Aragon, GA, 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brother, Ken Sanford and his wife, Brenda of Dallas, GA, sister, June Holmes and her husband, Henry of Taylorsville, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ronnie Louis Sanford will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM from The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Nix and Rev. Earl Vaughn officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jonathan Sanford, Spencer Huth, Cody Ashworth, Tommy Bonilla, Michael Rayburn, Chandler Norris, Casey Kidd, Dylan Carter and Tyler Kidd.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
