Mr. Paul Marvin Williams, Sr., age 84, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Rockmart, GA on November 24, 1936 a son of the late James Lewis Williams and the late Connie Louise Powell Williams. Mr. Williams was an auto body repairman having worked at Tom Burns Pontiac-Buick, Rome for many years. He loved to garden and carry items from the garden to the community. He enjoyed decorating for Christmas and usually began decorating in July. Mr. Williams also enjoyed deep sea fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Christine Williams Kelley; siblings: Margie Peek Smith, Betty Hayes, Maxine Hulsey Skains, Craton Williams and Mattie Williams; granddaughter, Brandi Upton Williams and great grandchildren: Cameron and Angel Williams.
Survivors include his children: Ricky (Angie) Williams, Victoria, TX Darlene “Vickie” Rayburn, Rockmart Paul Marvin Williams, Jr, Rockmart. Lisa Williams and her fiancée Dell Dunn, Rockmart and Lynn Williams, Aragon; 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also surviving is his companion of 20 years, Linda Shaw.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Slaughter officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Crossroads Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Jason Williams, Mark Williams, Tyler Sullivan, Adam Brumit, Chris Williams, Josh Blue, Lee Dunn and Dee Pyles. Honorary pallbearers will include: Jennifer House, Aiden Janda, Joseph Bright, Devon Williams, Brandon Thomas, Jacob Pyles, Justin Williams and Hayden Ely.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
