Mr. James “Lee” Caldwell, age 68 of Aragon, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022.
Mr. Caldwell was born July 15, 1953 in Aragon, son of Mrs. Ray Manning Caldwell Collins and the late Mr. Murray Caleb Caldwell.
He attended Rockmart High School until the 11th grade and then joined the United States Army. After leaving the military, he was a truck driver for J. L. Lester & Son for 20+ years.
He enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Burney Collins; and a daughter, Ramee Guy.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Cain Caldwell of Aragon; three daughters, Matilda (Tim) Wood of Cedartown, Kerri (Gary) Holley of Rockmart and Faith Cannon of Buffalo, Missouri; a brother, Dennis (Teresa) Caldwell of Rockmart; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Kitzi Hall of Dallas and two nephews, Travis Caldwell and Trey Caldwell both of Aragon.
Funeral graveside and interment services for Mr. Caldwell will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Adair officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Great Room of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart on Friday prior to the graveside service from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m.
