Mr. Freddie Joe Stringer

Mr. Freddie Joe Stringer, age 67, born in Cedartown, GA, on July 18, 1953 to Fred and Louise Stringer, entered his enteral, Heavenly home at 4:30 PM on July 5, 2021 surrounded by his children and those he loved.

He was married to Shirley Stringer on November 3, 2000. Freddie Joe was daddy to Stacy (Tony) Baker and Lee (Tonya) Stringer. Pawpaw/ Pops to 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, all of which he loved dearly and adored. His siblings are Lynda (Martin) Featherston and Kenneth Stringer. Uncle to 3 nieces and 1 nephew, several great nieces and nephews.

Freddie Joe had a special brother by heart and life long friend, DeWayne Wood in which he shred many adventures, long conversations and enjoyable times. He had several stepchildren and grandchildren.

Freddie Joe lived his life full of love for Jesus, classic rock, Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., and watching John Wayne and other old western movies. He was a carpenter by trade, working his entire life as a member of Stringer Construction Company.

He also was a member of Rockmart Lodge #97 F& AM. His passion was wrestling, where he performed under the stage name “Fast Freddie” with Peach State Wrestling Group. He was a member of Morning View Baptist Church.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents: Lawrence and Mary Lou Stringer, maternal grandparents: Carl Hood and Dora Hicks. One stepdaughter, Katie Sharp, a niece, Jada Pineda, and his precious sister-in-law, Pamela Stringer.

Homegoing services for Mr. Freddie Joe Stringer will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Morning View Baptist Church with his mentor and dear friend, Mike Golden speaking and Brother Jeff Hulsey officiating. Rev. Jason Stringer will serve as Minster of Services. In keeping with the families wishes, Mr. Stringer will be cremated after his funeral services.

The family will receive friend at the church on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.

Revelation 21:4 leaves us with this reassurance, ” And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
