Mr. David Franklin Sharp Jr., age 76, of Weaver, Alabama and formerly of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Sunday morning, July 26, 2020.
David was born on February 21, 1944 in Rome, Georgia a son of the late David Franklin Sharp, Sr., and the late Bertie Kines Sharp. He was a United States Veteran serving proudly in the U. S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement he was the owner and operator of Sharp Binding & Printing Co. He was a ordained Baptist Minister and a longtime member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Alabama.
David is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Sellers Sharp; sons, Paul Sharp & Susan and Tim Sharp & Giselle; daughter, Natalie Hunter; brother, Al Sharp & Janie; six grandchildren seven great grandchildren and niece, Christy Sharp Cook. A number of other relatives also survive.
The Funeral for David Sharp will be conducted on Thursday morning, July 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. CST from the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Al with Rev. Jack Morgan and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Graveside and Interment service will be conducted in the North View Cemetery in Cedartown at 3:00 p.m. EST with the American Legion, Brown-Wright Honor Guard Post 12 conducting military honors.
The family will receive friends on Thursday morning, July 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
The following Gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: David P. Sharp, Jr., Allen Sharp, Craig Gaddy, Tommy Morgan, Tony Phillips and Josh Cash.
