Chick-fil-A of Rockmart remodel completed with ribbon cutting this morning
Chick-fil-A of Rockmart Owner/Operator Zach Thomas was joined by crewmembers, local officials and many more this morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the re-opening of the restaurant after months of remodel work.
Thomas – whose entrepreneurial spirit extends to family run operations and other opportunities like his Leader Farming program – shut down the Chattahoochee Drive Chick-fil-A location just ahead of the Thanksgiving break to undergo an interior and exterior transformation.
A new playground, new kitchen upgrades, new seating in the dining room and even new drive thru awnings were all part of a slate of upgrades that were completed through the holiday season and wrapped up in recent days.
Thomas and crewmembers held a sneak peek for invitees on Wednesday evening ahead of this morning’s official reopening at 6 a.m.

The Polk County native and West Point graduate operated a Chick-fil-A location in Cobb County before moving over to the Rockmart location when it opened in 2017.
The upgrades now provide 82 seats inside the dining room, a new playground space for youth, enhancements to the drive thru and an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering with guests visiting Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A of Rockmart employs around 100 full and part time employees. Among the costs that Thomas faced during the shutdown was covering employee pay while off for many of those who returned to work this morning. Around half of the staff are joining Chick-fil-A for the first time.
“It’s my responsibility to invest in my Team Members’ lives, helping them grow into future leaders,” said Thomas. “My goal is to make a meaningful difference in this community and in the lives of everyone who walks through our doors.”
Chick-fil-A serves customers on Mondays through Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and are closed Sundays.
