
Mrs. Mary Ellen Dover Vinson, age 85 of Cedartown, Georgia, crossed over on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1939 in Rome, Georgia.
She was the daughter of the late Ervin Marvin Dover and Ruby Dimple Mauldin Dover.
Mrs. Vinson is survived by her daughters, Demyra Vinson, Tamra Cook (Clint), and Velma Vinson; son, Doyce Vinson (DeMaris); sisters, Brenda Hearn (Cary), Glenda Stewart, Sharon Thompson (Ricky), and Debra Hairel; brothers, Shorty Dover, Dennis Dover (Debbie Jean), and Donny Dover (Pam); grandchildren, Jessi Cutler, Rachel Doyle, Jerry Baker, and Khloe Repine; and great-grandchildren, Seven Baker, Waylon Baker, Adaline Ellis, Clint Ellis, Garrett Farrister, Valerie Farrister, Alyssa Cutler, and Oakley Cutler.
Mrs. Vinson is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyce Neil Vinson, Sr.; sisters, Estella Cupp, Faye Stewart, and Carol Henson; brothers, Tommy Dover, Marvin Dover, and Jimmy Dover; and great-grandchild, Mason Cutler.
Mrs. Vinson was a devoted to her family; she was a wonderful sister, mother and wife. She loved God and was an active, faithful member of WHBC for years. She was always available to her community and enjoyed riding horses, quilting and crocheting.
The family of Mrs. Vinson wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers, food and drinks, and all expressions of kindness and concern. May God continue to bless you.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Vinson will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Vinson will receive family and friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from one o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: L.D. Irvin, Ray Cupp, Tony Jenkins, Adam Jenkins, Ricky Thompson, and Bobby Hutcheson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerome Bentley and Brad Pirch.
