Victim told police he’d given suspect a ride a month before

An Aragon man was jailed over the weekend by Polk County Police after he was caught on a security camera taking items from a victim’s home, according to reports.

Officers arrested Keenan Vann, 28, of 41 Aragon Road, Aragon, on a felony burglary charge and he remained in the Polk County Jail with a $10,000 bond set as of this posting.

Per PCPD reports, officers got to the victim’s house more than an hour after he called police to report the burglary, and didn’t realize until after he was home and noticed items amiss that anything was wrong.

When he did, he took his dog back out to the truck and called out while armed with a kitchen knife searched around his home.

He finally figured out that an upstairs bedroom was the point of entry, that Vann had used a ladder to climb up and enter, and that at the very least $1,100 worth of items were gone – including a set of night vision goggles and Pajar work boots.

Police additionally got help from the victim who had a camera setup in the house, and was able to pull video evidence of Vann.

The victim saw Vann earlier in the day on his bicycle and knew him well enough to have given him a ride a month earlier, the report stated.




Police caught up to Vann on February 12 and told officers that he rode his bicycle over to the house earlier in the day.

Officer additionally noted in the report that Vann had in the past been known to police around the area for theft and burglary charges, and remains banned from several stores in the area.
