Lark A. Dingler Jr.

Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, and Vietnam War veteran, Lark A. Dingler Jr., from Cedartown, passed away at home in Bedford, Texas on April 23, 2022 at the age of 87.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the love his life, Nell Kines Dingler; his daughters Lena Schaffer, Milda Burgan, Laurie Murray, and son-in-law, Mike Murray.

Mr. Dingler is survived by his seven granddaughters—Jessica Murray, Katie Burgan, Sally Beach, Hannah Weathers, Maddie Heaton, Claire Schaffer, Cori Schaffer—and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Nichols and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lark Alfred Dingler, Sr. and Dovie Forrester Dinger, and siblings—Sara Dingler Gladden; Ollie Floyd Dingler Gladden; Charles Dingler; Joy Dingler Garner; and Libby Dingler Carter.

During his life, Lark Alfred Dingler, Jr. sacrificed a great deal, including time with his family, to serve his country. Upon leaving military service Mr. Dingler owned and operated his own air conditioning business in Orlando, Florida before retiring with his wife to Texas in 2006.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Fisher House Foundation or Vietnam Veterans of America would be welcomed.
