Miss Helen C. Cox, age 68, of Rockmart, GA, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Helen was born on November 8, 1953 a daughter of the late Harold L. Cox and the late Mary Frances Anglin Cox.
She had lived all of her life in Rockmart and was a 1971 graduate of Rockmart High School. Helen also attended Coosa Valley Technical School. She was an employee of the State of Georgia road design department and retired following a thirty four career.
Helen was a long-time volunteer with the Rockmart High School Band. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening and working with her flowers. She especially loved her cats.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Cox; by her two sisters: Marion Cox Jackson and Rosa Nell Cox Moore; and two nephews: Jeremy Moore and Alan Jackson.
Survivors include her brother in law: Kenneth Moore; nephews: Gabe (Adriana) Moore, Jed (Devon) Moore and Dan (Jennifer) Moore; great nephews and nieces: Trent (Meghan) Moore, Nicole & Megan Moore, James & Deacon Moore, Daniel & Ava Moore, Amber (Jonathan) Newborn and their children Jasen & Jorden; cousins: Darlene (Tony) Rasure and Michael H. Rehak.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with eulogies given by Kenneth Moore and Gabe Moore and Ministers Josh Clevenger and Justin Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Gabe Moore, Jed Moore, Dan Moore, Trent Moore, Matt Moore and Scott Parris.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
