The Horticulture program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) will hold a Fall Mum Sale Monday, Sept. 16, through Thursday, Sept. 19, outside of Building L, located across from GNTC’s Floyd County Campus in Rome.
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or until plants sell out. The plants are located in a fenced area outside of Building L. Buyers should stop by Building L if no one is outside with the mums, said Nick Barton, director of GNTC’s Horticulture program.
The mums are in 8-inch pots and will cost $7 each. Large mixed pots will also be available for $35 each. Colors include yellow, orange, red, lavender and two-toned colors.
The sale is a way for GNTC to contribute to the community that also gives Horticulture students real-world experience, Barton said.
All proceeds from the plant sale will benefit the Horticulture program at GNTC. Purchases may be made with cash or check; credit cards are not accepted.
