Mrs. Gerettie Patterson, age 82, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday August 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Patterson was born in Rome on February 24, 1942. After obtaining her Associates Degree as a Surgical Technician, she began a long career at Redmond Surgical Center in Rome.
She loved her family with all her heart and strove to be the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she could be. Her family loved her with all their heart.
An avid golfer, she won many tournaments and had a deep love for shopping. She was a treasure to her family and will be dearly missed by all.
Mrs. Patterson is preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Mary Branch; her son, Jerry Wayne Massey; and her granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Massey.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her loving husband of 55 wonderful years, Bryan Patterson; daughter, Beth Patterson; grandchildren, Logan Pruitt (Morgen) and Savannah Jones (“Pretty Boy”); great-grandson, Kolton Fowler; brother, Wesley Oxford (Rita); and daughter-in-law, Macie Jo Massey.
In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Patterson will be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
