Taylorsville, Cartersville, Rome, Dallas all have options available

Celebrations of the fabulous fourth are underway all around Polk County today, and there are options on places to go for watching fireworks this evening all across the area.

Here’s a quick rundown of where to go this evening to find fireworks displays and events:

Creekside Farm and Vineyards event in Taylorsville might be the closest option available for fireworks around Polk. Their Freedom Fest is kicking off at noon and continues until this evening when they plan to shoot off fireworks for their fourth annual event. It is $10 per person to get in, food vendors are on hand, entertainment for youth and alcohol is for sale. Learn more in the link here.

Cartersville’s Dellinger Park is hosting an event from 4 to 10 p.m. to celebrate July 4. Fireworks are set to get underway at 9:30 p.m. (after dark) and includes opportunities for family fun, food vendors and entertainment as well.

Dallas has their big event starting this afternoon as well. Red, White & 80s is kicking off in Downtown Dallas from 6 to 10 p.m. Guardians of the Jukebox will start playing at 7 p.m., and fireworks are going to shoot off after dark. Food trucks will be on hand for the big event as well.

Rome’s Ridge Ferry Park is set to host the 2024 Independence Day Extravaganza. It is $5 to park, and fireworks are at dark. Gates and activities begin at noon. The annual event sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd includes an inflatable splash zone area opening at 1 p.m. ($5 per wristband) and Rome’s own Hunter Chastain is taking the stage later in the evening.

The fireworks in Rome are set to start at 9:35 p.m.

No large coolers, pets, drones, fires or sparklers are allowed in Ridge Ferry Park.
