A 5K race is coming up to help support Foundations Christian School’s efforts to help their security and facilities in late July, just ahead of the start of the school year.
FCS’s first 5K Run & Walk is set for July 27, with a 8 a.m. start time.
The race already has a number of sponsors to help out with the event being held at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex in Rockmart.
Race registration before June 30 is $30, and increases to $35 if registration is completed by July 21. Race day registration is $40.
A $100 cash prize will be presented to the overall male and overall female winners of the 5K, and every student who finishes the race will get a Back2School Bundle Award for finishing the course.
FCA remains a relatively new options for education in Polk County, with their campus based out of Calvary Baptist Church on Springdale Road in Rockmart.
They’ll be teaching K-9 students for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.
