Mrs. Eugenia Pipkin York, age 102, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Montgomery, Alabama.
Mrs. York is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Minnie Pipkin; husband of 75 years, Charles Mitchell York; sister, Frances Pipkin Hill; brother, Charles Pipkin; and son-in-law, Rev. Lendon Bolton.
Mrs. York is survived by her daughter, Judy York Bolton; sons, John Mitchell “Mickey” York (Diana) of St. Peters, MO, and David Alan York of Bonaire, GA; brother, Reid Pipkin of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Chuck Bolton, Jennifer Bolton Ethridge, Amy Williams, Brian York, and Eric Murray; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. York was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown, GA for over 70 years.
During those years she served as President of WMU, GA director and was the secretary of her Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
A graveside service for Mrs. Eugenia Pipkin York will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.
The family has respectfully asked that flowers are to be omitted, and donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown, 101 N. College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125.
