Mrs. Ellen Dempsey of Cedartown, Ga., passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
She was born July 14, 1935, to the late William Cleveland and Evie Belle Hooper.
She was retired from Arrow and Shooner and was of the Baptist faith.
She is also preceded by her brothers, Joe Hooper, Jasper Hooper, JW Hooper, Junior Hooper, George Hooper, Doyce Hooper, and Charles “Bud” Hooper, and her sisters Ann Lou Nix, Artie Belle McFall.
Surviving are her sons Randy and Teresa Dempsey and Ricky and Brenda Dempsey; brother David Hooper; sister Ruby N. Camp; grandchild Mackenzie and David Andrews; and great-grandson Ford Andrews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Litesey Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at visitation Thursday, August 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Litesey Funeral Home, with Joey Meeks officiating. The interment will be held at the Lime Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Rodney McFall, Todd Hooper, Brent Hooper, Conner Hooper, Eugene Hooper, and Mike Hooper.
