Mr. Dwight Clifford “Shep” Beck, age 67, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
Mr. Beck was born on October 19, 1955 in Rockmart, GA to his parents: Clifford William Beck and Wilma Jean Brewer Beck.
Shep lived all his life in Rockmart. Mr. Beck worked for Goodyear for 22 years and then worked as a sanitation supervisor for Kelloggs before retiring. He loved UGA football, golf and bowling but most of all, he loved his grandchildren dearly.
Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his loving wife, Teresa Hulsey Beck; father, Clifford William Beck and brother, William Michael Floyd Beck.
He is survived by his loving children: Craig Beck, Jessica Hughes Blankenship, Hanna Newberry and Dawn Beck; 13 grandchildren: Judson, Logan, Macie, Lillie, Ellijah, Mason, Daemien, Landon, Junior, Gunner, Major, Kannon and Korr; mother, Wilma Jean Beck; brother, Reb Beck; sister, Connie Bell and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Beck will be cremated, and the family will gather for a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. This will provide an opportunity to celebrate Shep’s life by sharing stories and memories with one another.
