Dawn Marie Lambert passed away on June 7, 2022.

Dawn was born in Rome, Georgia on April 2,1964.

While working at the Floyd County Recycling Center, Dawn was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in the year 2000. She was diagnosed four times since. In 2009 it became metastatic (spread). She was the recipient of the Medals4Mettle award in 2011 for her outstanding battle against the disease.

Cancer forced her into early retirement. Determined to stay healthy, she turned to fitness where she would ultimately make numerous lasting friendships at her local YMCA.

She will be remembered as a devout Christian with a servant’s heart. She loved Jesus and the church. Even though she didn’t have a home church, she went to many and felt at home at each one. She loved to volunteer and help in many aspects within the church. She loved her family and treated each of her friends as family as well.

Dawn is survived by her son, Brian Lambert (Mallory), her brother, Rick Lambert (Tona), her sister and best friend, Terri Hampton (George) and brother, Reno Lambert (Marc). There are also several nieces, nephews and extended family as well as her well-loved grandchildren Evan, Lily and Mila Lambert.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Lambert, her father, Roscoe Lambert, her sister, Pam Kanavel and brother, Rodney Lambert.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 11th from 2-4pm at Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 3pm Monday, June 13th at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, Ga with Dr. Jeremy Deaton officiating.
