Holy Week kicks off with community event at church, closes on Easter Sunday with handbell choir

Cedartown First United Methodist is hosting their opening event of Holy Week this Saturday afternoon, and the community is invited to come out and participate in family-friendly fun on their campus, and come back for the rest of the week’s services.

The Community Easter Egg Hunt and Petting Zoo kicks off on Saturday, April 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. on the church grounds. All are invited to attend and it is free for families to enjoy.

Holy Week celebrations continue on Sunday morning as youth will lead the Children’s Palm Processional for the worship service at 11 a.m. for Palm Sunday.

A Holy Week Fellowship Dinner will be held on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., and a Maundy Thursday Service is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 6.

Join the church for an Easter Sunrise Service at Peek Park on Sunday morning, April 9 at 7 a.m., or the regular Easter Worship Service and Handbell Choir in the sanctuary at Cedartown First United Methodist at 11 a.m.
