Mr. Clyde Nickey Bedford, Sr., age 85, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. He was born on January 16, 1939 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Clyde N. and Zelia McElwee Bedford.
Mr. Bedford is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Rainey Bedford; daughters, Cindy Guthrie (Greg), Kelli Adams (Frankie), and Kitti Barfield (Malcolm); son, Chuck Bedford; sister, Dale McAdams (Nick); grandchildren, Joel Guthrie (Ashley), Beth Johnston (Brent), Ashley Owens (Anthony), Jason Barfield (Hannah), Jacob Barfield, and Cam Bedford ; and great-grandchildren, Grayden, Kinsleigh, Logan, Rileigh, Hayes, Malachi, and Eva Rose.
In keeping with Mr. Bedford’s wishes, he was cremated. A memorial gathering for Mr. Bedford and family will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from two o’clock in the afternoon until four o’clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The family has respectfully requested that flowers are to be omitted and memorial donations can be made to the Caledonia Lodge 121 of Cedartown, 948 N. Main Street, Cedartown, Georgia 30125.
