The City of Cedartown honored one of their own earlier in the week after he finished rookie school and got his certification.

From the city’s Facebook post:

Congratulations are in order for firefighter Bryce East!

Bryce was hired by the City in September of 2020. He worked several months before he was able to start rookie school due to the availability of basic firefighter courses.

Two weeks into the course, the class was shut down due to several positive COVID-19 cases. After a two-week quarantine of the entire class, the remaining 6 weeks were completed. And now, we are proud to announce that rookie firefighter Bryce East is now a State Certified Firefighter.

The Basic Firefighter Training Course (BFTC) is an 8 week (345-hour) course. Help us congratulate BRYCE EAST on his graduation!
