Mr. Charles Joe Wills, age 84 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1940 in Rockmart, Georgia. He was the son of the late James Marion Wills and Maryann Lucinda Lee Wills.
Mr. Wills was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Wills is survived by his daughters, Angie Wills Cook (Bo), Penny Wills Bottoms (Tim) and daughter-in-law, Janet Elrod Wills; sister, Betty Wills Perkins; grandchildren, Heather Nicole Wills, Terry Lee Crawford, Kevin Eric Crawford (Kim), Charles Bubba Cook (Tiffany), Bunk Cook (Anna), and Mindy Hidalgo (Roberto); great grandchildren, Katie McClure, Autumn “Sassy” Cook, and Aden Charles Jano and several other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive.
Mr. Wills is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Brenda Mae Deering Wills; son, Stewart Edward Wills; sisters, Mary Yarborough, Maurine Meers, Julie Coalson, Annie Mae Williams, and Lena Landers; and brothers, Howard Wills, Fred Wills, Bud Wills and James Wills.
The funeral arrangements for Mr. Charles Joe Wills will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Northview Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Wills will receive family and friends on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from six o’clock in the evening until nine o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Aden Charles Jano, Roberto Hildago, Kevin Eric Crawford, Bunk Cook, Bubba Cook, and Billy Wills.
The family of Mr. Wills is accepting flowers; however, donations can also be made to the following: Ronald McDonald House or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
