After waiting a few weeks for Commissioners to get their responses in, those questions leftover from the Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum are now available online!

Candidates from District 1, 2 and 3 participated in providing additional answers that voters wanted to hear from the 2022 candidate forum held in late April.

Today is the final day of Early Voting, and the polls have already been busy with more than 2,900 ballots cast since May 2 here in Polk County as several campaigns for 2022 will be decided on the Primary ballot.

Voting day is May 24. You can still visit the polls at County Administration building at 144 West Ave., Cedartown, or the Nathan Dean Community Center in Rockmart on Goodyear Ave., to take part in the primary.

Those casting a ballot will note that local elections are only on the GOP primary ballot this year, since Republican candidates in the commission race were the only to qualify for the election in March.

Here’s the list of those who responded:

District 1

James Vines

District 2

Linda Liles (i)

Perry Barrett

Glenn Robinson

District 3

Hal Floyd (i)

Check back later today for a final report on early voting figures for Polk County, and on Tuesday night for full coverage of Primary results for the 2022 ballot.
