Mrs. Carol Swaney Brown of Buchanan, GA passed away February 9, 2022, at the age of 75.
She was born on July 12, 1946 to the late James Monroe Swaney and Reita Myrtle Stanley. Prior to her retirement she worked for the local juvenile court judge.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Hoyt Swaney and Wilbur Swaney.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her loving husband, Billy C. Brown; her three sons Cabot (Melissa) Howell, Brant (Cindy) Howell, Whitt (Barbara) Brown; her two daughters Gale (Tim) Brown, and Brenda (Joel) Agan; her 17 grandchildren Randa Brown, Adam (Bem) Lemley, Ali (Dar) Robinson, Cara (Luke) Williamson, Mallory (Brian) Lambert, Matthew (Alexa) Startz, Abigale Brown, Jacey (Taylor) Litesey, Billie Agan, Elana Howell, Lexy Howell, Cassie Howell, JD Brown, Sydney Brown, Susanna Brown, Eva Howell, Bo Brown; her 13 great grandchildren Evan Lambert, Jacoby Williams, Amarah Brown, Lily Lambert, Andie Brown, Stetson Williamson, Ace Robinson, Karter Litesey, Kendall Startz, Mila Lambert, Emmie Williamson, Loni Robinson, and Arlo Brown.
Carol was lovingly known as Blondie, Mama, Dandy, and Aunt Carol. She loved reading the Word of God, was a wonderful counselor, and Sunday School teacher. She adored her family, and her family LOVED her and her cooking, especially her banana pudding.
She was a self taught, gifted pianist and loved playing at local area churches where she served since the age of 14 years old. Carol was a talented singer who was a blessing to all who heard her play and sing. She was very creative, loved her flowers, painting, decorating, redecorating and always adding a pop of red. She “envisioned” many improvements to many homes.
One of her favorite pastimes was watching British TV and foreign films with subtitles. She was a lifelong learner and a voracious reader. She has received her ultimate healing and been made whole, but has left a hole in this world. She has touched many lives and will always be loved and remembered.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 12, 2022 at one o’clock in the afternoon EST at Beulah Baptist Church in Muscadine, AL. The family will received friends Saturday, February 12, 2022 from eleven o’clock in the morning EST until the funeral hour at Beulah Baptist Church.
Dr. Roland Brown will be officiating Mrs. Brown’s service. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Cabot Howell, Brant Howell, Whitt Brown, Tim Brown, Joel Agan, Adam Lemley, JD Brown, Bo Brown, Matthew Startz, Dar Robinson, Luke Williamson, Brian Lambert, and Taylor Litesey. The following young men will serve as honorary pallbearers: Evan Lambert, Jacoby Williams, Stetson Williamson, Ace Robinson, Karter Litesey, and Arlo Brown.
In lieu of flowers it is the families wishes that donations be made to your favorite charity in Carol Brown’s name.
