Ms. Bobi Peppers, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully departed this life on June 26, 2024, following a courageous battle with an extended illness. She was 62 years old.
Born on December 30, 1961, to the proud parents of Bob and Joyce Peppers, Bobi was a cherished native of Cedartown, Ga, where her resilient spirit and unwavering faith inspired all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Bobi found solace and strength in her deep-rooted faith, and she was a devoted member of Anna Kresge Methodist Church, where she sought comfort and community.
Her dedication to her faith was evident from her youth, as she actively participated in the life of First Baptist Church in Cedartown, finding joy in singing in the choir and playing the handbells.
Bobi’s journey was marked by a pursuit of knowledge and a commitment to service. A graduate of Cedartown High School, Class of 1980, she continued her educational pursuits at Reinhardt College, where she continued to shine brightly. Her passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career with the Georgia State Patrol.
In her youth, Bobi’s nurturing nature shown through as she delighted in babysitting and caring for others. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and she cherished the moments spent with them at the family lake house, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Bobi was preceded in death by her beloved father, Mr. Bob Peppers, whose memory she held dear in her heart. She is survived by her loving mother and best friend, Joyce Peppers; brother, Clark Peppers; nephew, Matt Peppers; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were forever touched by her presence.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Cedar Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Willowbrook Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Bobi’s time of need.
A celebration of Bobi’s life will be held at Anna Kresge Methodist Church, Friday, June 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Steve Peppers officiating, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her extraordinary life. Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery in Lyerly, Georgia.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Thad Kinney, Adam Himes, Cam Andrews, Sam Peppers, Bob Himes, Andy Himes, and Chris Himes.
Bobi’s family will receive friends, also on Friday, at Anna Kresge Methodist Church, from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Bobi will forever remain in our hearts, her spirit shining brightly as a beacon of love and inspiration. May she rest in peace, knowing she was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.
